The level of patriotism in my county (USA) freaks me right the hell out. Sure, it's not the worst place to live, but I don't really want to see us take over the world. A very thoughtful and refreshing piece of writing. First-world countries depress and embarass me with their arrogance. We should appreciate, not lord our privileges.
